All Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu practitioners are invited to this two-day seminar focused on MJER Iaido.  Each of the last eleven seminars was a great success.  We want to do it all again in order to offer iaidoka intensive training with some of the top Canadian instructors in our koryu. 

For the first time, we will have FOUR 7th DAN INSTRUCTORS!: Goyo Ohmi-sensei (Kyoshi, 7D), Kim Taylor-sensei (Renshi, 7D), Carole Galligan-sensei (Renshi, 7D), and Eric Tribe-sensei (Renshi, 7D).

Iaido Meet-Up:

A gathering for any participants coming to Peterborough on Friday, October 20th

 

We will meet at The Porch & Pint at 7:00 pmIt is at 172 Lansdowne St. (just between the Best Western hotel and Ashburnham Rd.) and is just a few minutes' walk from both the Best Western Otonabee Inn and the Motel 6.  Some of you may wish to have dinner here if you are coming into town that night.  The sensei will be there as well as seminar participants.  Look for the happy, smiling iaidoka!

*****We may be using a banquet room in the basement, depending on numbers.  This means you may need to be able to navigate a set of stairs as their is no elevator.  Should you not be able to do this, we will see if a few people can get tables on the main floor.

As always, for specific dietary needs, allergies, etc., please contact the restaurant directly or talk to a server.

After dinner, people are welcome to stay through the evening, or may want to go to another location such as the Porch & Pint, The Alehouse, or St. Veronus Belgian Beer Temple for drinks, or to some other location....or even to bed!

Peterborough Lift Locks:  This structure, completed in 1904, is the tallest hydraulic lift lock in the world, raising and lowering watercraft 65 feet from one level of the Trent-Severn Waterway to another with no other power, only the brilliant use of gravity and counterbalance!   There is a visitors' centre, tours, and cruises.
